International Commodity Supplier Assurance Engineer - Poland

Overview

International Supplier Assurance Engineer (SAE) is the primary quality interface between Raytheon and its supply base. The role supports Supplier Assessments, First Article Inspection verification, Source Inspection, problem resolution, and continuous improvement activities at suppliers, leading to effective Supplier Quality Management across the product life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Interpret quality requirements and assist suppliers in the development of robust processes.
• Ensure flow down of requirements internally and to sub-tier suppliers.
• Assess and develop supplier’s quality capabilities throughout the product life cycle.
• Identify and correct systemic performance issues.
• Implement effective Root Cause Corrective Action.
• Conduct collaborative communication with supplier, cross‑business teams and customer.
• Deploy effective Supplier Quality Management techniques.
• Support supplier maintenance efforts such as recurring audits, special process upkeep, and certification maintenance.
• Work as the liaison between the Program and Subcontractor.
• Coordinate an on‑site schedule with the hiring manager and maintain required travel within Poland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 6+ years’ experience.
• Experience with Supplier Quality Management working with suppliers to understand and develop products to Raytheon and customer requirements.
• Familiarity with commercial and aerospace/defense regulations and/or standards such as AS9100, AS9102, ISO‑9000, ISO‑9001, AS9145.
• Fluent in Polish and English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assemblies, large major end items, and testing.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action processes.
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques.
• Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with customers or partners (both internal and external to Raytheon).
• International experience, preferably in the defense industry.
• Experience working with government agencies in a production floor environment (e.g., DCMA, MDA).
• Practical knowledge of aerospace or commercial equivalent.
• Preventative tools – APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, etc.
