Technical Application Engineer/Editor (f/m)

Your responsibilities, Comprehensive production of Phoenix Contact product documentation via 3 main communication channels: pdf-based documents (data sheets, package slips, application notes, user manuals etc.), web-based documents (online help, online user manual), and video-based documents (instructional videos), Maintaining texts and databases needed to work with document authoring and publishing tools (Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe RoboHelp, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere), Supporting the process of translating texts for our product documentation, Ordering or preparing illustrations and other visual materials for our product documentation, Generating and editing multilingual product documentation in line with company guidelines and checklists (suggesting improvements, correcting contextual issues, content organization, or formatting errors)

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, Excellent command of written and spoken English (minimum C1 level), Strong ability to solve problems independently, Excellent attention to detail, Good communication and presentation skills, Willingness to travel to the company HQ in Germany for training sessions

Optional, 3+ years of experience in preparing and creating technical information, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, philology, translation studies, or a related field, Good command of written and spoken German (minimum B2 level), Experience in creating and editing product documentation using Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe RoboHelp, or similar software, Experience in creating instructional videos
