ARCHDESK OPERATIONS POLAND SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ

Data Architect

About the project

As a Data Architect, you'll work directly with the companies building all of it, taking contractors from chaos to clarity on some of the largest projects in the world.

We're one product, built in-house by one team across London, Kraków and Dubai. We're fast-moving, fast-growth and founder-led: no layers between you and the decisions that matter, and real ownership from day one.

We work hybrid from our new Kraków office, coming together as a team at least two days a week.

Data Architect - Implementation TeamEvery customer that joins Archdesk arrives with years of data scattered across spreadsheets, legacy ERPs, accounting systems and file shares, project costs, schedules, supplier records, site documentation. That data is the backbone of decisions worth millions or often, billions, and before a customer can trust Archdesk, someone has to make sense of it: understand how their business actually works, map their data to how Archdesk models it, and design how it moves in and keeps flowing, cleanly. That someone is you.

This is how we organize our work

Team size

10

This is how we work

  • you develop several projects simultaneously
  • you have influence on the technological solutions applied
  • you have influence on the product

Your responsibilities

  • Owning the data workstream of every implementation end to end, from first discovery through go-live sign-off, as the senior authority on how customer data enters and flows through Archdesk
  • Leading data discovery with customer stakeholders: assessing their systems landscape, data maturity and structures, and defining the migration and integration strategy for each account
  • Designing the target data architecture for each customer: how their business model maps onto Archdesk's modules, projects, costs, budgets, procurement, assets, documents, and making the judgment calls when their world and ours don't line up one-to-one
  • Producing the architectural artefacts that govern each implementation: entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, mapping specifications and integration specs that implementation consultants and engineers execute from
  • Directing the transformation and migration effort, defining the approach, standards and validation criteria, and coordinating the consultants, engineers and customer-side teams who carry it out
  • Setting the quality bar: designing the validation and reconciliation framework that determines when migrated data is signed off as trustworthy
  • Defining integration architecture for ongoing data flows between Archdesk and the customer's wider systems (accounting, payroll, estimating, BIM), and overseeing delivery with our engineering team
  • Building the implementation practice itself: turning project work into reusable methodology, mapping frameworks, playbooks per source system, standards, so the team scales and each implementation gets faster than the last
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to customer finance, commercial and IT leadership on data strategy, and channelling what you see in the field back into Archdesk's product roadmap

Our requirements

  • Substantial experience in data or solution architecture within implementations, professional services or consulting, ideally around ERP, construction, or another operationally complex vertical, with a track record of owning the data workstream on enterprise-scale projects
  • Deep technical grounding in SQL, data modelling and ETL, you direct the work credibly because you've done it yourself, and you can still open the hood when a migration decision hinges on the detail
  • Strong architectural instincts: you can take an undocumented legacy system or a sprawling customer landscape and produce a clean, defensible target model from it
  • Authority in the room with customers, comfortable leading discovery workshops with commercial directors and CFOs, presenting architecture decisions to IT leadership, and holding your ground when a customer's preferred approach won't serve them
  • A pragmatic streak: you architect for the deadline and the business outcome in front of you, and you know when 95% migrated and validated beats 100% stuck in analysis
  • High standards on data quality and governance, you set the bar others deliver to, and you treat a customer's cost data with the seriousness it deserves
  • Documentation and specification skills strong enough that consultants and engineers can execute from your artefacts without guessing
  • Experience mentoring or directing the work of consultants, analysts or engineers, even without formal line management

Optional

  • Experience with construction industry data: cost codes, WBS structures, valuations, CVRs, subcontractor ledgers
  • Familiarity with the systems landscape our customers come from (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, legacy construction ERPs)
  • Integration architecture experience: APIs, webhooks, iPaaS platforms
  • Experience establishing methodology or practice standards at a scaling SaaS company

What we offer

  • Company share options, every employee has a real path to becoming a shareholder
  • A real impact in an international, fast-growing company
  • A startup environment where you can actually shape how things get done
  • A team that has your back while you grow
  • Genuine investment in your development training, courses, room to build new skills
  • Ownership and accountability, without the layers of bureaucracy that usually come with it
  • Flexible working hours
  • A team that celebrates wins together (yes, that includes company events)

  • mentoring
  • space for experimenting
  • substantive support from technological leaders

ARCHDESK OPERATIONS POLAND SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ

Archdesk helps build the world around us, from individual houses all the way to stadiums, bridges, the data centers powering the AI revolution, and even entire cities rising from the ground. Today, tens of thousands of projects representing more than $350 billion in construction value run on our platform, with customers spanning six continents.

Most of the industry still manages work like this on spreadsheets, email chains and a dozen disconnected files. Archdesk replaces that patchwork with one platform that connects everything: cost control, scheduling, procurement, site records and reporting, giving contractors real-time command over projects worth hundreds of millions.
