Data Engineer 2

Cencora seeks a Data Engineer 2 to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions supporting organizational decision-making. The role encompasses managing Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI platforms while collaborating with development and security teams to ensure secure, reliable data delivery across modern and legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines and integrations across the organization
• Develop and maintain data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics solutions using specified platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues including quality, performance, and integration failures
• Build and maintain dashboards and self-service analytics in Power BI for business stakeholders
• Work cross-functionally with Development, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure secure, reliable data solution delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of data engineering, data warehousing, or business intelligence experience
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse platform
• Strong Power BI experience including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard development
• Proficiency building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations
• Advanced SQL skills with dimensional modeling and star schema knowledge
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native data services
