Our client is a well-established international manufacturing organization operating multiple production facilities across Europe. The company serves leading global customers and is recognized for high operational standards, strong engineering capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.

To strengthen regional logistics capabilities, we are currently looking for an experienced EMEA Transport and External Logistics Manager who will take responsibility for optimizing transportation, cross-docking operations, external warehouse management, and international logistics flows across the EMEA region.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and optimize transportation operations, cross-docking activities, and external logistics networks across the EMEA region.
• Develop and implement regional transportation strategies focused on cost efficiency, operational excellence, and service quality.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers, carriers, freight forwarders, and external warehouse operators globally.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce transportation costs, improve delivery performance, and increase supply chain resilience.
• Coordinate import and export operations of components across manufacturing sites, suppliers, customers, and internal group entities.
• Monitor transportation and logistics KPIs, including freight costs, on-time delivery, lead times, carrier performance, and warehouse efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate transportation and logistics risks related to capacity, routes, customs regulations, carriers, and cross-border operations.
• Lead logistics network optimization projects, including transportation flows, warehouse footprint, and distribution processes.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, trade regulations, and company standards.
• Act as the key logistics interface for manufacturing plants, suppliers, customers, and global stakeholders.

Our requirements

• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management within an international manufacturing environment.
• Automotive industry experience is required.
• Proven experience managing transportation and logistics operations within regional or international organizational structures.
• Solid experience in import and export processes involving components sourced and distributed between internal group entities, suppliers, and customers.
• Experience managing external logistics providers, carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse operators.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, international matrix organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and transportation or logistics management systems.
• Fluent English is required.
• Willingness to travel across the EMEA region.
