Data Discovery Engineer

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience supporting enterprise applications in Windows environments .
• Knowledge of file systems and storage technologies, ideally including NAS .
• Understanding of CIFS/SMB protocols .
• Practical knowledge of NTFS permissions and Access Control Lists (ACLs) .
• Understanding of Active Directory and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience diagnosing application performance and infrastructure issues.
• Hands-on knowledge of PowerShell .
• Familiarity with SQL .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A structured approach to investigating complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and Agile ways of working .

The following experience would be an advantage:

• Arctera Data Insight , formerly known as Veritas Data Insight.
• Symantec Data at Rest (DAR) .
• Enterprise solutions related to data discovery, data classification or data security .
• Working with large-scale NAS environments .
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery and high-availability concepts.
• Familiarity with commonly used cybersecurity frameworks .

Data Discovery Engineer

We are looking for a Data Discovery Engineer to join a team responsible for the operation and continuous improvement of enterprise solutions supporting unstructured data discovery, scanning and classification .

The position focuses on maintaining and supporting platforms such as Arctera Data Insight and Symantec Data at Rest (DAR) , used across large-scale storage environments. You will be responsible for ensuring stable day-to-day operations, resolving technical issues, supporting upgrades and contributing to the improvement of the services.

The role involves close cooperation with Storage, Windows, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and software vendor teams .
