Senior Structural Engineer

VARD Marine Gdańsk is looking for talented and enthusiastic marine engineers, who are interested to join our growing organization in Poland. We are re currently seeking for suitable candidates for Senior Structural Engineer positions. Senior Structural Engineer 5194004340 Duties and responsibilities Performing structural calculations ranging from scantling checks and simple beam validations to comprehensive local and global FEM analyses. Preparing structural drawings for approval by Classification Societies and Authorities, including managing and resolving comments. Coordinating structural work across engineering departments to ensure optimal, functional, and sustainable vessel design. Maintaining effective communication with external stakeholders including Client, Classification Societies, regulatory authorities, other design offices and vendors. In addition to performing discrete technical tasks within larger projects, you may perform the role of Project Manager. Qualifications and personal qualities BSc or MSc degree in a related engineering field (Ocean Engineering, Shipbuilding, Ship Design, Naval Architecture, etc.). At least 8 -10 years of post-graduation experience in structural engineering in ship design. Experience with IACS Classification Society (DNV, ABS, BV, LR) rules and dedicated class-related software. Hands-on experience with at least one FEA tool (ANSYS, FEMAP, or Genie). Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Permanent residence in Poland.
