Procurement Planning Specialist with Italian (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
1. Material Planning & Procurement
As a key member of the supply chain team, you will ensure the seamless availability of materials required to support production and business growth.
- Execute both long and short-term purchasing plans for raw materials, packaging, labels, and other production components.
- Manage MRP signals, validate material requirements, monitor master data accuracy, and align ordering activities with production and demand plans.
- Ensure component availability to meet service level expectations and maintain uninterrupted production operations.
- Support new product launches, packaging updates, and promotional activities, ensuring readiness and on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery.
- Manage replenishment of the GFR (Goods for Resale) portfolio in line with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
- Contribute to the introduction of new GFR items and portfolio optimization initiatives in close partnership with the Marketing team.
- Coordinate deliveries with logistics carriers to ensure smooth and efficient transportation flows.
- Collaborate with local warehouses to align delivery schedules and inventory requirements.
2. Supplier & Inventory Management
You will play a critical role in building strong supplier partnerships while driving inventory excellence across the supply chain.
- Manage consignment warehouses, Pipe Chain, VMI accounts, min/max settings, as well as supplier onboarding and training activities.
- Monitor supplier performance, including OTIF, capacity, and delivery reliability, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
- Coordinate artwork approvals and packaging transitions to minimize obsolescence and reduce slow-moving inventory.
- Optimize inventory levels and contribute to root-cause analysis and resolution of shortages, delays, or excess stock situations.
3. Business Service Excellence & Collaboration
Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and a commitment to delivering exceptional stakeholder service.
- Partner closely with Planning, Production, Sourcing, Marketing, Commercial, Warehouse, R&D, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
- Participate in complaint and quality resolution processes, working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support invoice reconciliation activities and resolve discrepancies with Accounts Payable and suppliers.
- Provide professional, proactive, and timely communication to both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
4. Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement
You will help drive operational efficiency through data accuracy, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain purchasing parameters within ERP/SAP systems and ensure a high level of master data accuracy.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, recommend enhancements, and actively contribute to continuous improvement projects.
- Support regional alignment of Procurement Planning processes and contribute to effective workload balancing across the team.
Our requirements
- Secondary or higher education; preferred degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related area.
- Experience in procurement, materials planning, or supply chain; manufacturing/FMCG experience is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Italain is required.
- Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Solid understanding of business operations and supply chain flows.
