About the project, We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join a technical team responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-availability systems. The person in this role will work on backend services, contribute to API design, and collaborate closely with frontend and DevOps teams to deliver secure, testable, and performant e-commerce solutions.

Your responsibilities, Design, implement and maintain backend services and APIs to support high-load, highly available., Develop server-side logic with a strong focus on performance, security and scalability., Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure smooth integration and consistent user experiences., Contribute to API design decisions, including idempotency, rate limiting and error handling strategies., Participate in the design and maintenance of database schemas and query optimization for MySQL-based systems., Implement and maintain automated tests and ensure code is testable; follow software testing patterns and best practices., Work with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, monitoring and incident response., Support e-commerce-specific features, such as payment integrations, A/B testing frameworks and conversion tracking., Drive improvements in system architecture, security posture and operational reliability., Act autonomously to identify and deliver practical solutions, and proactively communicate progress and risks.

5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable, high-load production systems., Strong expertise in PHP; experience with Laravel preferred; Symfony experience is also valued., Deep understanding of MySQL, including schema design and query optimization., Practical knowledge of API design principles, including idempotency and rate limiting., Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary DevOps practices., Basic working knowledge of React or a comparable frontend framework and willingness to collaborate closely with frontend teams., Experience with e-commerce systems, including payments, A/B testing and conversion tracking., Proven ability to write testable code and familiarity with software testing patterns., Strong focus on secure web application architecture and best practices for protecting customer data., Highly autonomous, solution-oriented and proactive approach to problem solving., Fluent English (written and spoken).

Optional, In-depth knowledge of NoSQL databases., Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems., Experience with real-time messaging systems., Hands-on experience integrating with multiple payment service providers (PSPs).
