This is not a startup burning cash to disrupt something. It is a real platform with real revenue, real users, and serious scale. They recently merged with UK and German players and are backed by a growth equity investor.

Senior Software Engineer (Tech Lead)

Kraków, Poland · Hybrid · PLN 192k–300k + equity

What you will actually do

You will lead the technical direction for your team. Architecture decisions are yours, not just pull request duty. You take messy business requirements and turn them into concrete tasks your developers can execute. You talk directly to PMs, QA, mobile developers, and clients. No buffer layers. No translators.

You keep the stack moving: PHP backend, React with TypeScript frontend, PostgreSQL, AWS. You build and maintain CI/CD pipelines. When production breaks, you fix it. You use AI tools like Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT as actual daily productivity tools, not resume fluff.

You plan sprints and estimate like a professional. No fantasy timelines.

What you actually need

  • 5+ years shipping production PHP. Real code in real environments.

  • Prior Tech Lead experience. You have owned architecture decisions. Some worked, some failed, and you learned from both.

  • React with TypeScript. You can review frontend code without bluffing.

  • PostgreSQL at scale. You know when indexes matter and when they do not.

  • AWS. You have deployed, broken, and fixed cloud infrastructure.

  • DevOps and CI/CD. You can build pipelines or improve the ones that exist.

  • Product mindset from real agile teams. Organized, not chaotic.

  • Flutter or mobile experience is a bonus. Not a dealbreaker.
