About the project

We are looking for an experienced Internal Kubernetes Platform Support Engineer to join our client’s Internal Kubernetes Platform (IKP) Team in the Private Cloud area within the global Cloud Engineering function. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a globally distributed team supporting highly scalable and secure infrastructure platforms.

As a member of the IKP team, you will contribute to building, scaling, and maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure for internal customers worldwide. You'll ensure top-notch reliability, performance, and availability across environments, automate processes, and troubleshoot complex challenges in production.

Your responsibilities

• Ensure reliability and performance of the IKP infrastructure.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain a Kubernetes platform.
• Diagnose and resolve IKP infrastructure issues.
• Troubleshoot incidents, performance issues, and integration problems.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement reliability improvements.
• Provide 24/7 support as part of an on-call rotation (including weekend on-call duty once or twice a month).
• Note: Detailed project information will be shared during the recruitment process.

Our requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance).
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts, containerization, orchestration, and observability tools.
• Experience with Unix administration and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Fluent English and the ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent (certifications in containerization-related technologies are an advantage).

Optional

• Experience with Service Meshes.
• ITIL background for Incident, Problem & Change Management.
• Previous experience in large-scale, globally distributed environments.
