Your responsibilities

Presales Solution Engineer – European Market (BESS Utility & C&I)

Job Overview

We are a professional energy storage system integrator focusing on Utility-scale BESS & Commercial & Industrial BESS. We are rapidly expanding our European market. This presales role fully supports local sales teams, responsible for technical solution design, customer technical communication, tender support, grid code compliance analysis, and sales empowerment. The core objective is to help sales win BESS projects and build long-term customer technical trust in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide professional turnkey BESS solutions for European utility-scale and C&I energy storage projects.

2. Design system topology, PCS/EMS configuration, thermal management & fire protection solution, grid connection solution according to local grid codes.

3. Deliver full presales documents: proposal, technical presentation, single-line diagram, BOM, benefit analysis, competitor comparison.

4. Attend customer technical meetings, answer technical inquiries, conduct technical negotiation & clarification.

5. Be fully responsible for tender technical documents, technical response sheets, deviation sheets, bid compliance checking.

6. Research European local grid standards, energy policies, grid codes, certification requirements, and local market rules.

7. Build standardized European BESS solution library, FAQ library, and sales training materials.

8. Provide technical training for local sales, distributors and partners.

9. Identify presales risks including grid connection risks, compliance risks, technical matching risks in early stage.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power System, Renewable Energy, Automation.

2. 1–5 years BESS presales / solution experience in utility & C&I energy storage.

3. Familiar with BESS system structure, PCS, EMS, battery container, fire & thermal system.

4. Knowledge of European grid codes (G99/G100, VDE, CE etc.) is preferred.

5. Fluent English for client communication, technical presentation and business negotiation.

6. Strong logic, proposal writing skills and customer-oriented mindset.

7. Able to travel locally in Europe and cooperate closely with sales team.

8. Previous overseas energy storage presales experience is highly preferred.

Our requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree or above in one of the following disciplines:

• Electrical Engineering

• Power Engineering

• Electronics

• Renewable Energy

• Energy Engineering

• Mechatronics

• Automation Engineering

• Or a related engineering discipline

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the renewable energy, electrical engineering or power industry.

Experience in one or more of the following industries will be considered an advantage:

• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

• Solar PV

• PCS / Inverters

• Battery Systems

• Power Electronics

• Electrical Equipment

Candidates should have practical experience in one or more of the following:

• Installation

• Commissioning

• Testing

• Troubleshooting

• Maintenance

• Repair

• Field Service

• Project Delivery

Experience with commercial, industrial or utility-scale BESS projects will be considered an advantage.

Technical Skills

Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred:

• Battery Management System (BMS)

• Energy Management System (EMS)

• Power Conversion System (PCS)

• SCADA

• Lithium Battery Systems

• Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems

Candidates should also be able to:

• Read electrical drawings and schematics.

• Understand communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN and TCP/IP.

• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Language Requirements

Required

• Fluent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate professionally with customers, EPC contractors and the company's global engineering teams.

• Fluent Polish, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with local customers, EPC partners, suppliers and on-site personnel.

About the Role

Due to the continued growth of our European business, we are looking for three (2) Technical Support Engineers to join our team in Poland.

This is a hybrid position based in Poland, combining office work, home working and customer site visits depending on business requirements.

You will provide both pre-sales and after-sales technical support for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), working closely with customers, EPC contractors and our global engineering teams to support projects across Poland and other European countries.

The role requires frequent travel within Poland and across the European Union.

Working Arrangement

• Location: Poland

• Working Model: Hybrid (office, home and customer sites depending on business requirements).

• Frequent travel within Poland and to other European Union countries is required.

• Willingness to undertake both short-term and extended business travel.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international team.

• Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple countries and time zones, with flexibility to occasionally adjust working hours to support project activities and communication with global teams.

• Candidates must have the legal right to work in Poland or be eligible to obtain the necessary work authorisation in accordance with Polish immigration regulations.
