Your responsibilities

• Identify repetitive or time-consuming processes and design practical AI-powered ways to improve them.
• Build, integrate and maintain AI applications, assistants, agents and advanced AI skills.
• Integrate commercial models and APIs, including OpenAI and Anthropic Claude.
• Develop, fine-tune or adapt custom models and AI components where they are the right solution.
• Create solutions using techniques such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool calling and workflow orchestration.
• Build prototypes, test them with users and take successful solutions into production.
• Connect AI applications with internal systems, databases and business tools.
• Evaluate solution quality, reliability, performance and cost, and improve them over time.
• Work with colleagues across IT and business teams to understand needs and deliver solutions that fit real workflows.
• Apply appropriate privacy, security and data-handling practices, especially when working with sensitive or patient-related information.
• Document solutions and share knowledge so that they can be supported and developed further.

Our requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing AI or machine-learning solutions.
• Practical experience building and integrating applications using AI models such as OpenAI and/or Anthropic Claude.
• Experience developing custom models, fine-tuning models or building proprietary AI components.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and experience working with APIs.
• Understanding of LLM application patterns such as RAG, embeddings, vector search, agents or tool calling.
• Experience taking AI solutions beyond experimentation, including testing, deployment, monitoring or ongoing improvement.
• Ability to understand a business problem and translate it into a clear technical solution.
• A pragmatic approach: choosing the right level of complexity and explaining trade-offs clearly.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Working proficiency in English.

FutureMeds is growing its use of AI to improve how we work across clinical research operations. We are looking for a Senior AI Developer who can turn promising AI ideas into reliable tools used by real teams.

You will help us automate manual processes, build AI-powered applications and develop advanced AI assistants and skills. You will work with leading models such as OpenAI and Anthropic Claude, while also exploring where custom models or AI components can bring additional value.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys moving from a business problem to a working solution - and improving it based on how people use it.
