In this role, you will have the opportunity not only to build high-quality systems, but also to expand the reach of our Clearing capabilities, opening the world to our customers and supporting our ambition for true global scale. Clearing is the critical technology and integration layer that connects Banking Circle to payment schemes and clearing infrastructures across markets, enabling the secure, reliable, and efficient processing of payment transactions. You will help shape and evolve a high-end fintech platform where quality, performance, and reliability are our core focus. You will contribute to mission-critical payment and transactional systems that must operate with uncompromising 24/7/365 robustness, high throughput, active-active resilience, and the ability to scale seamlessly as we continue to broaden our international footprint.

We are an agile .NET backend team working with a modern technology stack centred around Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data and Messaging Services (Service Bus, Event Hub) and Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos), all running in a cloud-hosted Kubernetes environment. At the same time, we are accelerating the use of AI-driven capabilities across the organisation to enhance productivity, streamline engineering workflows, and support smarter ways of working at scale.

We offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.

Things we’ll look for on your resume

To succeed in this role, we expect you to already have experience from a similar role where you have gained experience within .NET. You might already have worked with backend solutions that process high volumes of data with a focus on throughput and availability.

You have experience working with performance sensitive applications and you are comfortable with caching strategies, both in-process and distributed. We run our entire core platform in Azure so you will get a chance to work with modern cloud services and solutions. Therefore, Azure experience is a definite plus, but not a requirement. You are also motivated and skilled in designing clean and maintainable solutions.

As a person you are pro-active, responsible, and quality oriented. You have strong analytical skills and a structured way of working and courage to try new things. You are a dependable and knowledge-sharing team player that thrives with collaboration, and you can accept the choices made in the team, even if your individual choices would have been different.
