About the project

We are currently looking for an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineering Specialist to join an international team supporting complex application migration and modernization initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for enabling seamless transitions from legacy mainframe environments to modern toolchains based on Git, DBB, and IDD, while supporting automation, deployment processes, and client-facing technical delivery in an enterprise environment.

Work mode: Hybrid (40% from office, 60 remote)

Project length: Long-term

Only candidates with citizenship in the European Union and residence in Poland

Your responsibilities

  • Lead migration projects from Endevor and other legacy SCM solutions to DBB, Git and IDD
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot DBB/IDD environments on IBM z/OS
  • Build and improve deployment automation and CI/CD processes
  • Support build pipelines, release automation and deployment workflows
  • Analyse existing applications and ensure successful migration to modern toolchains
  • Troubleshoot migration, build and integration issues
  • Deliver technical workshops and training for client teams
  • Cooperate with architects, developers and infrastructure teams in international projects
  • Prepare technical documentation, migration guidelines and best practices
  • Participate in release planning and production implementations
  • Drive continuous improvements in DevOps automation and migration frameworks

Our requirements

  • Strong experience in Application Development or Systems Programming
  • Hands-on experience with z/OS environments, including installation, migration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with mainframe SCM tools such as Endevor and modern alternatives like Git, DBB, and IDD
  • Strong knowledge of Groovy scripting, YAML, and Git workflows
  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, build debugging, and release automation
  • Experience working with Docker, Ansible, Puppet, and AWS cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure automation
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex migration and integration issues
  • Experience in client-facing roles, including technical consulting and training delivery
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with ability to work independently in enterprise environments
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken)
