About the project

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing secure identity services and access workflows in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This is a hands-on role where you will use automation-first practices to ensure quality across APIs, cloud integrations, and event-driven systems. You’ll collaborate with engineering, security, and DevOps teams to deliver robust, scalable IAM solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute test strategies, test cases, and automation suites.
• Develop and maintain Python/Pytest frameworks for backend automation and API testing.
• Validate event-driven systems (Pub/Sub, queues) and policy testing logic.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback.
• Track and manage defects in JIRA and produce audit-ready documentation.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement practices.

Our requirements

• 2+ years in backend automation testing using Python and Pytest.
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
• Experience with REST API testing and tools (Postman, Insomnia).
• Familiarity with event-driven systems, SCIM, OIDC, LDAP protocols.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery.
• Knowledge of cloud environments, ideally GCP.

Optional

• Policy-as-code testing exposure (OPA/Rego).
• Performance testing knowledge (JMeter, Gatling).
• Experience with orchestration tools, graph databases, or containerised tests.
