About the project

We are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join our global Azure Cloud Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, highly resilient, reusable, and secure Azure infrastructures, applying automation and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.

You will work closely with Engineering Leads, Microsoft partners, and Cybersecurity teams to design and deliver secure-by-design Azure cloud solutions, ensuring compliance with corporate security policies and operational risk standards.

Your responsibilities

• Build and manage the core Azure foundation platform to enable enterprise application deployments.
• Develop and maintain reusable functional patterns using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines across multiple technology stacks.
• Integrate, configure, and manage centralised Azure services such as IAM, networking, logging, monitoring, OS baselines, and container solutions.
• Configure and maintain Azure networking and connectivity, including Express Route, DNS, IP addressing, NSGs, and Azure Firewall configurations.
• Ensure solutions comply with security and operational risk standards, including logging, monitoring, availability, and resiliency requirements.
• Execute full functional pattern lifecycle processes: design, document, develop, and maintain a robust code library.

Our requirements

• Proven experience in designing and building services on Microsoft Azure at an enterprise scale.
• Expert knowledge of DevOps principles, Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies, and automation tooling.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and scripting automation.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration in complex environments.
• Solid knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, including IAM and cloud governance.
• Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional IT teams and global stakeholders.
• Familiarity with networking concepts in Azure: routing, firewalls, DNS, VPN/Express Route, load balancers.

Optional

• Experience in implementing hardened OS images (Windows/Linux) in cloud environments.
• Background in regulated industries with strong risk management and compliance processes.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer Expert.
