Your responsibilities

• Support all operational activities by providing expertise and advice on procurement
• Develop and deploy a robust purchasing strategy identifying suppliers and optimal purchasing areas in terms of key components and capital equipment. Carry out Supplier Choice Committees, approve suppliers and negotiate and set up contracts to meet needs.
• Lead commercial interface with Customers, ensuring existing contracts are delivered and maximizing and negotiating future opportunities.
• Develop a competitive advantage in terms of overall cost, including quality, service level, price, lead times, minimum supply quantity, inventory and payment terms.
• Control supplier risks and manage the measurement of their performance results. Lead the development of suppliers' Quality and Logistics progress plans as part of a global Cost/Quality/Lead time improvement plan.
• Develop a privileged relationship with the top management of key suppliers and customers. Create and maintain long-term supplier and customer partnerships, encourage continuous improvement and return on investment
• Setting up an efficient purchasing & contract organization. Managing human resources: anticipating changes in jobs and developing skills and careers.
• Will be the Business Process Owner of “Purchase” process for AGI Group, aligned with the requirements of the parent companies

Our requirements

• Master Degree level of education
• At least 8 years of experience
• Good communication and listening skills
• Negotiation and commercial skills
• High level of business ethics
• Good technical sensitivity to the manufacturing process and industrial management
• Legal knowledge
• Knowledge of SAP & Office tools
• Excellent written and spoken English.

The Purchasing & Contract Manager, a member of the Management Team, is responsible for developing, implementing and improving the company's Purchasing & Contracts strategy by operationally managing the Purchasing Department in AGI Poland.
