Your responsibilities

• Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness, including determining root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods
• Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
• Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts
• Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements
• Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency
• Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness; including purchasing equipment, materials, or parts and preparing documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures
• Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards, including troubleshooting new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
• Develop sustainable manufacturing technologies and analyze the financial impacts of sustainable manufacturing
• Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing
• Develop, document and implement standard work instructions for critical manufacturing operations

Our requirements

• Excellent people and communication skills are required (both oral and written)
• Strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation
• Computer literacy in a MRP system (Oracle a plus), Microsoft Office
• Able to work under pressure
• Highly technical and analytical skills such (drawings, schematics, layout)
• Able to think out of box
• Project management skills
• Highly organized, efficient with strong problem-solving skills
• Possess leadership and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering
• 6-8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering with experience in Vacuum Brazing
• Experience in metal fabrication, brazing of pressure containing products
• Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as, Military, Aerospace, Nuclear or Automotive or other similar
