Your responsibilities

  • Investigations and analysis: you will spend your day dissecting transaction flow and identifying the ”why” behind application misbehaviour,
  • Functional support: you will have direct contact with application users and guide them through functional solutions,
  • 2nd line of support: you will handle complex topics and escalate to 3 LoS, if the issue cannot be solved without technical intervention.
  • Taking full ownership of escalated (as the second line of support) functional incidents from initial report to the root-cause resolution,
  • Investigating complex application behaviour, transactional flows, and calculation discrepancies to determine why an issue occurred,
  • Performing basic database queries (SQL) and reviewing application logs to gather evidence during functional troubleshooting,
  • Liaising with application users (back-office teams located around the globe) to investigate the incidents, explain functional workarounds, and report progress,
  • Partnering with the third line of support (technical support and development teams) if code fixes or system enhancements are found to be necessary,
  • Tracking recurring application issues and recommending functional, process, or configuration improvements to prevent incidents from repeating,
  • Maintaining documentation and contributing functional best practice guides to the internal knowledge base.

Our requirements

  • Have 1-3 years of experience as a Business Application Analyst, Functional Support Specialist, Super User, or Key User for complex software platforms,
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills,
  • Enjoy dissecting complex problems, tracing process failures, and logically deducing the root cause of functional issues,
  • Can explain complex topics in a simple manner and value helping application users and giving them good customer experience,
  • Speak fluent English (French is a plus),
  • Know the basics of SQL (ability to run simple queries to inspect data) and navigating application logs.

Context and scope of the role

Join our Warsaw-based team delivering functional application support to global business operations. We act as the critical analytical bridge between application users and technical IT teams, ensuring complex applications issues are throroughly investigated, explained, and resolved without unnecessary technical escalation.

What this role is:

2nd line of support: you will handle complex topics and escalate to 3 LoS, if the issue cannot be solved without technical intervention

What this role is NOT:

NOT software development: you will not write code, build features, or fix bugs in the codebase

NOT 1st line help desk: you will not support desktop applications or handle basic password resets or standard user access requests

NOT business analysis: you will not gather project requirements or manage delivery roadmaps
