Recruitment for

Our client is an international SME-focused bank currently expanding its operations in Poland. As part of its continued growth, the bank is looking for an experienced Operational Risk Expert.

Your responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks across the organization
• Investigate and analyze operational incidents, track remediation actions, and maintain accurate risk event records
• Collaborate with business and support units on process and control mapping activities
• Review and challenge the effectiveness of internal controls and risk mitigation measures
• Support Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Disaster Recovery (DR) testing activities
• Monitor risks related to outsourcing arrangements and third-party providers
• Prepare reports, analyses, and documentation for management, audit, and regulatory purposes
• Contribute to strengthening the organization’s operational risk framework and governance processes

Our requirements

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Risk Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operational risk management, internal control, compliance, or audit within the financial sector
• Good understanding of operational risk frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, CRR/CRD, KNF guidelines)
• Experience in identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risk events
• Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and regulatory documentation
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good command of Polish and English
