Your responsibilities

• Procurement of international / cross-BU transport and logistics services for all MAHLE Business Units worldwide
• Achieving savings and cost avoidance through negotiations with third-party providers
• Generating savings and cost avoidance by defining concepts that leverage cross-BU synergies in logistics
• Identifying opportunities and consolidating effects across global markets, suppliers, and business units
• Reviewing key sourcing decisions
• Defining supplier panels; ensuring the conclusion of framework agreements; participating in negotiations
• Organizing regular meetings and communication with BU/plant/headquarters logistics functions to define requirements and strategies
• Close collaboration with global logistics functions of all BUs/PCs in critical situations and escalations

Our requirements

• Successfully completed business-related degree
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes and markets in the area of transport, warehousing and logistics services
• Strong expertise in logistics calculation and planning methods
• Several years of experience in a comparable position or forwarder agency experience would be an additional advantage
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with focus on strategic solutions for the entire organization
• Strong team player with excellent social and intercultural skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, high goal orientation and ability to represent the company
• Ability to act with integrity, inspire others, and promote personal responsibility
• Fluent English skills (German would be an additional advantage)
• Willingness to travel
