About the Team

This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) is responsible for developing, optimizing, and industrializing manufacturing processes for new products and technologies.

What you can look forward to as a Test SW Developer - NI TestStand AME (f/m/d):

• Develop and maintain software for automated test benches.​
• Design NI TestStand sequences and resuable test software modules in C, C#, and Python.
• Contribute to modular and standardized test software architectures.
• Integrate test software with instruments, communication interfaces, PLC, MES, database, and operator interfaces.
• Translate product test requirements into reliable and maintainable software solutions.
• Perform software integration, debugging, validation, and deployment on production equipment.​
• Ensure software traceability, documentation, configruation management, and version control.​
• Collaborate with engineering teams, manufacturing sites, and external suppliers.
• Support local teams through technical documentation, training, and troubleshooting.​

Your profile as a Test SW Developer - NI TestStand AME (f/m/d):

• Engineering degree in software engineering, electronics, industrial computing, automation, telecommunications, or a comparable field.
• Significant hands-on experience with NI TestStand, including test sequence development, debugging, integration, and validation.
• Good programming skills in C/ C#/ Python and experience developing reusable software components.​
• Experience in software development for automated test systems or industrial equipment.
• Understanding of modular software architecture, interfaces, and configuration-driven solutions.
• Experience integrating test software with instruments, communication interfaces, PLC, MES, or databases.
• Knowledge of Git-based configruation management, software validation, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with international engineering teams, manufacturing sites, and external suppliers.
• ​Fluent English skills and willingness to travel occasionally.
