We are looking for an ExpertAccountant (f/m/d) as a key member of our accounting team in full-timeto support our team in Warsawin managing complex accounting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements, and driving accurate financial reporting. In this role, you will take ownership of month-end closing activities, statutory reporting, IFRS accounting processes, financial analyses, and tax compliance tasks while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

What you can expect:

• Month-End Closing & Accruals: Leading month-end closing processes (including trial balance and report reconciliations, balance verifications); creating and supervising postings, adjustments, reclassifications, and accrual calculations according to IFRS and the Polish Accounting Act. Statutory
• Reporting: Preparing data and documentation for standalone financial statements and ensuring compliance with external bodies (including JPK, GUS, NBP, and statutory reporting).
• IFRS & Lease Process Management: Cross-managing and coordinating the end-to-end IFRS accounting processes in close alignment with Group Accounting, serving as the local key contact person for IFRS 16 Leases
• Financial Analysis & Audit Support: Preparing financial analyses, reconciliations, and explanations regarding the Balance Sheet, P&L, and reporting data for Group requirements and external auditors.
• Finance & Tax Projects: Participating in business and system projects, including the implementation of new accounting, reporting, and tax solutions
• Tax Compliance & Advisory Collaboration: Participating in the preparation of tax declarations and statutory compliance (JPK, CIT, TP Documentation) in close collaboration with the internal Tax Team and external Tax Advisors.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating closely with SSC, AP/AR, IT, Legal, and external TAX advisory teams to resolve accounting issues, support cross-functional projects, and maintain accurate data.
• Fixed Assets & Retail Operations: Full management of the Fixed Assets registry, daily sales reconciliations, inventory processes including stock takings, and stock valuations for the retail sector.

Your profile:

• Master's in economics with majors in finance or an equivalent further education in finance / accounting
• At least five years of professional experience in financial accounting or in a comparable function
• Good knowledge of Polish tax regulation and Polish Accounting Act
• Solid understanding of numbers and business contexts including tax issues
• Fluent communication skills in English and Polish, German language skills are a plus
• Excellent analytical skills, quick thinking, and ability to communicate on all hierarchy levels
• Strong, practical experience in SAP FI (Required) and very good MS Excel skills.
• High degree of independence, high motivation, and team player
