Mechanical Engineer - Space Industry (f/m/x)

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop structural components for satellite systems
• Optimize mechanical designs for strength, stiffness, and manufacturability (DfM)
• Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing documentation based on 3D CAD models, including GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
• Design tooling and supporting equipment for production and integration, such as fixtures, jigs, carts, and workstations
• Develop adapters and mechanical interfaces for testing and system integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to finalize technical documentation for production

Our requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Practical knowledge of GD&T in accordance with ASME standards
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles
• Ability to create detailed 2D technical documentation based on 3D models
• Hands-on experience with a 3D CAD system (Autodesk Inventor is preferred)
• Good command of English, enabling effective communication in an international environment

Job Description

Join Sii's Product Design Studio and contribute to an exciting project for a global client in the space technology industry. We are looking for experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to support the development and final design phase of next-generation satellite systems. You'll become part of an international engineering team working on structural design validation and production readiness. The role is fully remote, with occasional visits to the Warsaw office welcomed.
