Linux Server Support Specialist for GCP Migration

General Info: Model of work: hybrid (3 days work from office Warsaw) Type of contract: B2B, long-term cooperations Rate: up to 135 PLN nett + vat/ hour Overview The Senior Server Support Specialist will focus on improving server operations and support, primarily involving work with RedHat Linux and Google Cloud Platform. This role involves collaboration with the Server Engineering team and managing daily server operations to minimize incidents and optimize resources. Main Responsibilities Enhance server support processes and infrastructure management. Collaborate with the Server Engineering team on security, architecture, and design. Oversee daily operations of server management, ensuring quick recovery from incidents. Implement automation solutions to streamline processes and reduce costs. Conduct analysis and adjustments to improve system performance. Work with external consultants for daily support operations. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of managing RedHat Enterprise Linux and Unix servers in enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with RedHat Satellite for server management. Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform technology and operations. Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible and Terraform. Experience ensuring configuration integrity across hybrid-cloud environments. Familiarity with management and monitoring tools for Unix ecosystems. Proficiency in resolving RedHat/Unix related issues and incidents. Experience in planning IT operations and ensuring compliance with policies. Proficient in English (at least B2 level). Background in a financial institution or regulated environment. Nice to Have: Management experience with other Unix operating systems (Solaris, AIX, IBMi). Experience with VM support in a VMware environment. Other Details: Location: Remote flexibility available. Team size consists of over a dozen employees and external consultants, with close collaboration with Server Engineering and external support teams.
