Application & Development Specialist – Paper & Board Europe (Poland)

Your responsibilities

• Handle technical and application-related inquiries from Sales and customers and investigate complaints or performance issues
• Evaluate inks, OPVs and coatings under relevant laboratory and application conditions, including benchmarking where required
• Recommend suitable products and technical solutions based on application requirements
• Prepare clear test reports, recommendations and technical documentation, and maintain transparent tracking of requests and activities
• Translate recurring application needs into clear input for R&D and support product validation and implementation
• Support R&D with raw-material qualification, scale-up or industrialisation in exceptional cases
• Improve laboratory methods and share application-technology best practices across the European organisation
• Participate in customer visits or customer-site trials when specific technical support is required

Our requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in printing technology, chemical engineering, coatings or a related field, alternatively, education or practical experience in printing technology, ideally flexographic or gravure printing, training as a laboratory technician with experience in a related industry, or as a paint/coatings laboratory technician
• Practical experience in inks, coatings, printing, packaging, application testing or technical service is an advantage
• Good laboratory skills and a hands-on, structured and solution-oriented approach
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Clear communication, teamwork and the ability to work in an international, cross-functional environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally in exceptional cases

Mission

Deliver hands-on laboratory and application support for the European Paper & Board business, with emphasis on evaluating existing inks, OPVs and coatings, resolving technical issues and supporting product implementation.
