Global Category Lead CAPEX - 15 months contract

Position description:
Cooperate with the Global Capex Purchasing Team with the strategies set for Capex; to support and suggest structure developments to the Department through the current data available; cooperate on the daily basis with suppliers; to negotiate contracts with outstanding results in terms of quality, price, delivery and protection to the Company; actively discuss with the Key Stakeholders: Global Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Project Management and Legal departments following the needs and supporting on risk mitigation strategies.
Key Result Areas:
- Responsible for sourcing activities for CAPEX with focus on cost reduction improvement of product quality, delivery on time and risk mitigation
- Maintain procurement strategy for CAPEX and contract compliance aligned globally
- Responsible for Sourcing, achieving the best commercial terms with suppliers to drive material cost improvement to meet/exceed functional objectives, covering quality, service, technology, price and timing
- Support and maintain the categorization process of the machinery being acquired worldwide
- Make alternative arrangements in case of shortages or late deliveries to minimize the impact on the organization
- Ensure compliance with global functional processes and procedures as well as local procedures and work instructions
- Develop trust and relationship with key stakeholders in business to understand the needs
- Leading Projects Review meetings with Procurement regional teams and Stakeholders on a monthly basis
- Provide assistance in development or creation of global functional processes and procedures
- Development of internal controls related to Contracts, Supplier Database, Scorecard evaluations
- Drive an active Supplier Relationship Management within the Capex sourcing ecosystem, manage and support strategic projects for the Company, together with the Regions, and stakeholders
- Provide methods and tools to improve the efficiency of the Procurement processes, and make sure it is compliance-aligned
- Reporting Savings achieved
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Master Degree in Economics or Engineering
- Fluency in English, another European language is considered a plus
Experience:
- Background in procurement and proven track of record in supplier and contract management, preferentially in Capex category
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in purchasing role
- Successful supplier negotiations and strong contracts/long-term agreement execution experience
- Experience of purchasing at an International level and negotiating in foreign currency.
- Ability to work with stakeholders, building strong relationships in a complex matric organization and across multiple locations
- Project management and changing management experience
Knowledge:
- MS Office Package experience
- Project management knowledge is desirable
- Time management/Efficient administration
