About the job
As Medical Engagement Manager COPD within our Specialty Care Medical Affairs team in Poland, you will drive medical strategy and scientific engagement for our respiratory portfolio. You will build relationships with key opinion leaders, advance disease awareness, and ensure the highest standards of medical excellence.
Main responsibilities
- Drive medical education and scientific engagement – deliver internal and external medical education initiatives, present at scientific conferences and high‑level forums, and continuously interpret emerging clinical data, literature, and competitive trends to inform medical and educational activities.
- Build and sustain key stakeholder relationships – identify, develop, and maintain strong partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders, Digital Opinion Leaders, local scientific societies, and relevant health authorities to advance disease awareness and scientific exchange.
- Develop and execute local Medical Affairs strategy – lead the development of the local Medical Affairs plan and communication strategy in alignment with the MCO medical team, including publication planning, conference strategy, and local evidence generation.
- Support research and clinical trial activities – coordinate and follow up on investigator‑initiated and other research projects, drive associated approval processes, and provide support to all company‑sponsored clinical trials.
- Partner cross‑functionally across the business – serve as a trusted medical partner to Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, and Public Affairs teams; contribute to brand planning, pricing and reimbursement applications, and new indication launch preparation.
- Organise advisory boards and scientific meetings – drive the planning and implementation of Advisory Boards and other scientific meetings, and respond to unsolicited medical questions in full compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Lead medical review and approval activities – evaluate and approve marketing materials, review clinical data and scientific documents, assess investigator‑initiated project proposals, and review and approve events and engagements submitted by marketing.
About you
- Proven track record in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the respiratory/COPD therapeutic area.
- Experience in KOL engagement, medical education, and scientific communication.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing medical strategies.
- Strong scientific and clinical expertise with the ability to interpret and communicate complex medical data.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for diverse scientific and business audiences.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate medical insights into actionable plans.
- Collaborative approach to cross‑functional partnership across commercial, regulatory, and access functions.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and scientific societies.
- Medical degree (MD) or PhD in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field.
- Fluency in Polish and English.

Salary range for this position: PLN 214,080.00 – 285,440.00. Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location and other relevant factors.
