About Our Client

Our client is a fast-growing technology company transforming the way customers design and purchase highly customizable products online. Following significant growth and international expansion, the organization is entering a new phase focused on scaling engineering excellence, strengthening operational maturity, and building the foundations for long-term innovation.

As part of this journey, they are looking for an experienced VP of Technology to partner closely with the CPTO and help shape the future of the engineering organization.

  • Location: Warsaw, Poland
  • Employment Type: (Hybrid – Minimum 3 Days On-Site)
  • Work Authorization: Valid Work-Permit for Poland
  • Compensation: PLN 480,000 - 600,000/year

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership role with clear progression toward a future CTO position .

You will oversee multiple engineering domains, support senior engineering leaders, and drive the transformation of engineering processes, culture, and operational excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with the ability to scale teams, standardize practices, and lead organizational change in a complex product environment.

What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with the CPTO to shape technology strategy and organizational direction
  • Lead and mentor Heads of Engineering across multiple technical domains
  • Standardize engineering processes, delivery frameworks, and operational best practices
  • Strengthen engineering culture, accountability, and leadership capabilities
  • Drive organizational transformation initiatives across technology teams
  • Improve collaboration between engineering, product, and business stakeholders
  • Take end-to-end ownership of strategic technical initiatives
  • Help prepare the organization for its next stage of growth and scalability
  • Act as a key advisor to executive leadership on technology and organizational decisions

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading large-scale engineering organizations
  • Previous experience as VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, CTO, or similar senior technology leadership role
  • Strong track record of scaling teams and implementing engineering best practices
  • Experience leading organizational transformation and change initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple technical domains simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Ambition and potential to grow into a future CTO position

Nice to Have

  • Experience within e-commerce, marketplace, retail-tech, SaaS, or product-driven technology companies
  • Exposure to ERP systems, complex back-office platforms, or configurator-based products
  • Experience supporting or partnering directly with a CPTO or CTO
  • Previous success driving engineering culture transformation in scaling organizations
