For our client, a leading European publisher located in Warsaw, we are looking for a person for the position of GL Accountant who will be a part of the new Shared Services Center Team.

Responsibilities:

• preparing financial reports according to schedule,
• handling General Ledger activities such as accruals, provisions, revaluations,
• maintaining the register of fixed assets,
• accountants reconciliations, creating and posting journal entries,
• preparation of VAT returns,
• verification of the correctness of financial statements,
• financial analysis of the data developed,
• support in the audit process,
• cooperation with relevant stakeholders and business partners,
• period-closing activities,
• supporting migration of RtR processes from European countries to Warsaw.

Requirements:

• min. 2 years of experience in a similar role,
• very good understanding of GL/RTR process,
• educational background in the accounting area,
• good knowledge of ERP system,
• strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills,
• good analytical skills,
• process orientation and attention to details,
• very good interpersonal skills,
• good knowledge of English (min. B2+),
• knowledge of German, Swedish or Danish is an advantage.
