This team provides a simple, scalable platform to partners and brands, and powers reliable, high-quality, and valuable communication between users and businesses.

They are creating a chatbot platform that will connect businesses to all Android and iOS devices, and their mission is to upgrade this conversational experience for all these users. They are seeing huge traction in this industry and aim to reach 20B+ monthly messages by 2025.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Your responsibilities

• Create external developer facing APIs and underlying infrastructure.
• Identify, deliver and land critical user journeys end-to-end.
• Measure and monitor the impact of various features across Business Communication ecosystem.
• Create better user experience by fixing critical bugs/issues raised by external developers (partners).
• Work with Project Managers, UX (User Experience), DevRel (Developer Relations), Business Development, Support and Engineering leads to deliver critical product/system metrics to help understand various nuances of the product.

Our requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 year of experience with software programming in C++, Java, Python or Go.
• Experience with full-stack development.

Optional

• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience building and scaling large-scale services.
• Familiarity with APIs (design and development) and SDKs.
• Familiarity with Flume.
• Familiarity with Messaging.
