Product Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed engineering designs for data center facilities.
• Design and coordinate critical infrastructure systems, including electrical power distribution, cooling, ventilation, fire protection, security, and monitoring systems.
• Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, engineering reports, drawings, and equipment schedules.
• Review engineering drawings, BIM models, design submissions, and technical documentation.
• Identify design conflicts, technical risks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and value engineering exercises.
• Ensure design deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements, and client specifications.
• Support technical risk assessments, design verification, and quality assurance processes.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Prepare requests for information (RFIs), submittals, and resolve design-related issues.
• Support preparation of as-built documentation, operating manuals, and handover packages.

Our requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in data center design, mission-critical facilities, MEP engineering, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of critical power systems, cooling infrastructure, redundancy concepts, and data center operational requirements.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with CAD, Revit, SolidWorks, BIM coordination or other engineering design tools.
• Knowledge of applicable engineering codes, safety requirements, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Technical design and engineering analysis.
• Mission-critical infrastructure and reliability engineering.
• Multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Design risk assessment and problem-solving.
• Project planning and technical documentation.
• Quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Stakeholder communication and vendor coordination.
• 3+ years of experience in Product Development specifically for DC space
• Experience working with cross-functional international teams.
• Fluent proficiency in written and spoken English
• MS Tools, AI, good level Communication internal and external
