For our client, a global manufacturer of contact lenses operating in the optical industry, we are seeking an experienced Optical Laboratory Process Engineer.
Location: Piaseczno, near Warsaw (Poland)
Please note that this role requires frequent business travel, accounting for approximately 50% of working time, across the Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) .
The Process Engineer acts as a technical liaison between an external production partners and the central organization, ensuring that manufacturing processes for calculations, surfacing, and hard-coat operations meet the agreed quality, performance, and reliability standards.
The engineer supports process alignment, continuous improvement, and technology transfer while maintaining close collaboration with central engineering and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure processes are implemented and maintained according to company's technical and quality standards.
- Support new product introductions, material qualifications and process parameter implementation.
- Conduct root cause analysis of process deviations and leads corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain standardized process documentation (SOPs, control sheets, specifications).
- Provide technical training to operators, shift leaders, and supervisors to ensure process understanding and consistency.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to increase productivity and quality.
- Open to frequent international business travel (approximately 50%) across Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA).
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the optical or precision industry .
- Familiarity with optical materials, coatings, and precision machining.
- Good communication skills in English (both spoken and written).
- Strong sense of responsibility and collaboration in a multi-brand, multicultural environment.
- Willingness to work closely with technical teams and adapt to global standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
