Assistant Treasurer

Job Summary

The Assistant Treasurer supports the financial operations of Lakota Local Schools by assisting with budgeting, accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy in financial processes, maintain fiscal integrity, and uphold state and federal regulations governing school finance.
• Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer, school administrators, and external partners.
• Provide key financial oversight, resource management, and operational efficiency to support the district's educational mission.
• Serve as a key resource for investment management while ensuring adherence to GAAP and related governmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Valid Ohio School Business Official or School Treasurer License (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum of three (3) years of related accounting and financial reporting experience (five (5+) years preferred).
• Experience with financial audits and compliance monitoring.
• Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions

8 hours per day, 5 days per week and 260 days per year based on a school year calendar, 1 FTE.
