Job Overview
We are looking for a Manager, Accounting to oversee end‑to‑end accounting processes across the organization. The Manager will develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and month‑end close, and will communicate with all levels of management across functions such as HR, Finance, IT, and external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the accounting department and regularly review the balance sheet, highlighting and resolving potential exposures.
- Analyze P&L variances month over month and provide explanations.
- Support integration of accounting processes for newly acquired entities and divestiture sales.
- Collaborate with IT and other functions to assess system changes and evaluate their accounting impact.
- Interact with senior management, auditors, and non‑finance departments, explaining complex financial information in an understandable way.
- Foster a strong internal controls environment, preventing fraud, errors, and misstatements.
- Develop and implement process‑excellence initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
- Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members; set clear expectations, provide performance feedback, and ensure adequate coverage, workload balance, and segregation of duties during close cycles.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of post‑qualification experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a manager role.
- Strong financial expertise, deep understanding of financial reporting and auditing practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Experience in finance & accounting with exposure to global accounting systems and ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
- Preferred experience with automation tools such as UiPath, Alteryx, or AI‑driven tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, leadership, and team‑management abilities.
- Project‑management experience and a record of process improvement and data analysis.
- Experience in change management and driving operational transformation.
