About the project
We are looking for an experienced Middleware Security Administrator to join a global defense engineering team dedicated to protecting Client against a wide range of threats. In this role, you will work on defining secure configuration baselines for various middleware technologies, including IBM WebSphere and Apache Server, while collaborating with technical experts and stakeholders to ensure compliance and enhance security measures. The position is based in Cracow and offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility in your work environment.
Your responsibilities
- Defining secure configuration baselines for middleware software including IBM WebSphere and Apache Server
- Collaborating with technical subject matter experts to establish secure configuration standards
- Developing and implementing compliance checks for middleware technologies
- Providing remediation guidance to IT Service Owners based on compliance findings
- Working with the Configuration Baseline Management team to ensure accurate compliance data is shared
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand their security needs and expectations
- Maintaining and prioritizing a capability backlog to align with business objectives
- Leading vendor relationships and evaluating new technologies that impact security needs
- Monitoring capability performance through agreed metrics and indicators
- Overseeing Control Owner activities to ensure accurate assessment of control issues
- Collaborating with Service and Technology Owners to improve service performance and address customer feedback
Our requirements
- Minimum 5 years of in-depth experience with middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere, Apache Server, and NGINX
- Demonstrated experience with middleware platform security practices
- At least 2 years of experience leading a technical team
- Strong understanding of Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to meet diverse stakeholder needs
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business-friendly language
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach
- Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively
- Advanced level of English

- Experience with cloud-based middleware solutions
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
