Software Tester

Position: Software Tester
Location: Jelenia Góra
Working mode: Hybrid

Our client is looking for a Regular Software Tester who will be responsible for testing software running on physical devices and hardware platforms. Due to the nature of the testing activities, this role requires on-site work with direct access to the equipment being tested. We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically minded, and self-sufficient professional who is comfortable working with hardware environments and Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of software running on physical devices and machines
• Verify the correct operation of hardware, interfaces, and hardware integrations
• Execute functional, regression, and integration tests
• Report defects and collaborate closely with the development team
• Analyze system logs and perform basic troubleshooting
• Prepare and maintain test documentation
• Cooperate with the technical support team

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in manual software testing
• Practical knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket
• Experience using bug tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and ability to work independently

Nice to Have

• Basic Linux terminal/command-line skills
• Experience working with hardware or embedded devices
• Experience in the gaming, embedded, or hardware industries
• Familiarity with CI tools (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines)
• Basic knowledge of test automation
• Understanding of SQL fundamentals
