Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Own the quality and integrity of all Romania finance outputs across end-to-end processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, treasury, tax, fixed assets)
• Lead and govern the month-end close process , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Produce management reports, variance analysis, and stakeholder commentary
• Act as the key point of contact for onshore Romania Finance stakeholders
• Oversee daily team operations, balancing workload, deadlines, and priorities
• Coach and develop a Staff Accountant , ensuring quality and capability growth
• Support external audits, compliance requirements, and reporting obligations
• Drive process improvements, standardisation, and efficiency initiatives
• Play a key role in the Workday Financials implementation , including testing and transition support

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification ( ACCA, CIMA or equivalent ) preferred
• 3-5 years' experience in accounting operations with end-to-end process exposure
• Prior experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle)
• Experience with process transitions or system implementations
• Fluency in English (mandatory) ; Romanian is an advantage
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, controls, and continuous improvement
