What You'll Do
CoreWeave is building its EMEA fleet operations from Warsaw — and you will run it.
The Fleet Reliability Operations team owns the day-to-day provisioning, health, and uptime of CoreWeave's GPU server fleet: the configuration, updates, and remote troubleshooting that keep our highest-tier supercomputing clusters and their networking delivering to customers. It is a daily fight against entropy — every node you return to service is capacity a customer can train on.
About the Role
As Director, you own that fight for the region. You will set the EMEA operations roadmap 12 to 18 months ahead of demand, decide how fleet operations should work here rather than porting the US playbook wholesale, and build the teams, processes, and metrics to run it. On calm days you plan and build; in an incident you go into the war room and drive the diagnosis. Your results roll up with your US counterparts — and, in time, APAC — into CoreWeave's global fleet picture.
In this role, you will:
- Own the EMEA Fleet Operations roadmap, planning capacity, headcount, and regional needs 12–18 months ahead of demand.
- Decide how fleet operations should run in EMEA, adapting rather than copying CoreWeave's US model to the region's power, regulatory, vendor, and talent realities.
- Own the region's operational metrics — site bring-up time, delivered capacity against goal, uptime — and roll them into global fleet reporting alongside US and other counterparts.
- Drive process and automation improvements as the fleet scales, retiring practices that no longer fit rather than inheriting them by default.
- Lead incident response for the region, going deep technically in the war room to focus the team on the variables that matter.
- Hire, grow, and lead a management team running a 24/7 operation, on a foundation of blameless postmortems and clear ownership.
Who You Are
- 15+ years in infrastructure engineering, including 10+ leading mission-critical server or cluster operations, with experience leading through other managers and running teams of 25+ in size.
- You operate across altitudes: you plan a region's roadmap, and in an incident you read the telemetry and direct the response yourself. You won't move nodes daily, but you understand at a technical level how they are provisioned, updated, and recovered.
- Proficient in Linux and at least one language such as Python; fluent in observability and alerting tooling (Prometheus, Grafana) and in the automation that runs a fleet at scale.
- Track record owning uptime, incident response, or reliability for GPU or dense-compute fleets, coordinating across hardware, data center operations, networking, and vendor teams — and familiar with data center systems (RMA, racks, HVAC, networking).
Why CoreWeave?
- Solve complex, high-impact challenges in a dynamic environment with pace, collaboration, and innovation.
- Shape the culture and direction of a growing engineering organization.
- Work in an entrepreneurial environment built on curiosity, ownership, and technical rigor.
