Director, Data Governance (f/m/d)

Danaher seeks a Director of Data Governance to establish and execute enterprise-wide data governance strategy at Cytiva in Kraków. The role drives data quality, compliance, and trust across business systems by defining frameworks, managing metadata, ensuring regulatory adherence, and leading cross-functional stewardship initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide data governance framework including policies and standards
• Partner with business and technology leaders to ensure data quality and metadata management
• Oversee compliance with data-related regulations and internal controls
• Lead data stewardship program and establish accountability for data ownership across functions
• Develop metrics to measure data quality, governance effectiveness, and business impact

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
• Proven experience in data governance and data management leadership roles
• Deep knowledge of data management frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM
• Experience implementing governance in enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives across business and technology teams
