Job Summary:

The Pre-Primary Coordinator at Unicent School, Kompally, is responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative functions of the pre-primary section (Nursery, LKG, UKG). The coordinator ensures a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment while maintaining high educational standards in alignment with the school’s philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership
  • Develop and implement a child-centric curriculum in line with the school’s vision.
  • Supervise lesson plans, teaching methodologies, and learning materials to ensure age-appropriate and engaging instruction.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Organize teacher training workshops to enhance pedagogical skills.
Administrative Management
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the pre-primary section.
  • Maintain student records, attendance, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with parents through meetings, circulars, and events to foster strong parent-school collaboration.
  • Manage resources, including teaching aids, play materials, and classroom setups.
  • Monitor the holistic development (cognitive, social, emotional, physical) of each child.
  • Implement child safety protocols and ensure a hygienic, inclusive environment.
  • Address behavioral or learning challenges in collaboration with teachers and parents.
Event Coordination
  • Plan and execute pre-primary events, annual days, field trips, and other activities.
  • Encourage participation in school-wide programs while maintaining age-appropriate engagement.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure adherence to school policies and early childhood education best practices.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements (if any) and implement necessary changes.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in pre-primary, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of child psychology and developmental milestones.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology for teaching and administrative purposes.
  • Creative, patient, and passionate about fostering a love for learning in young children.
Preferred
  • Prior experience in CBSE/ICSE-affiliated schools.
