Senior Linux Engineer

The ideal candidate combines deep Linux engineering knowledge with modern DevOps practices and has hands-on experience automating infrastructure and operational processes. The role also includes participation in a shift-based support model and 24/7 on-call rotation for business-critical systems. Responsibilities: Design, build, operate, and support enterprise Linux platforms in on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, Azure) Ensure system stability, availability, performance, and security across production and non-production environments Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks, scripts, and deployment templates Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar technologies Manage Linux system configuration and lifecycle through Ansible and related automation tooling Perform regular patching, hardening, and compliance activities in line with security and operational standards Support BAU / Run operations, including incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem management Participate in change management, upgrades, patching, and platform lifecycle activities Collaborate with security, network, storage, cloud, and application teams to resolve complex technical issues Participate in audit and compliance activities, providing technical documentation and operational evidence Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency Provide operational support through a structured shift rota, ensuring coverage for business-critical platforms Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, responding to incidents and supporting service restoration activities when required Requirements: Strong hands-on experience as a Linux Engineer in enterprise environments In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux) Strong automation mindset with a focus on reducing manual operational effort Proven experience with configuration management and automation tools, including: Ansible Terraform and/or OpenTofu Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Shell, or similar) Experience designing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions Experience supporting mission-critical production environments Strong understanding of Linux security, system hardening, and operational best practices Experience with monitoring, logging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting tools Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP and/or Azure Experience working in operational environments requiring shift work and 24/7 on-call support Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Preferred / Nice to Have: Experience with clustered or high-availability solutions (e.g. Pacemaker, Corosync) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Familiarity with container platforms and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) Experience integrating Linux infrastructure with cloud-native services Relevant certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, Terraform Associate, or equivalent) Our offer: Competitive remuneration on B2B contract Option to activate Medicover and Multisport on preferential terms Access to Mindgram – mental health & well-being platform Free gym at Q22 Personal development – internal online / onsite DevTalks Referral bonus program International environment
