Your responsibilities

• performing IFRS 17 valuation and reporting activities, including the calculation of technical provisions and the preparation of balance sheet and profit and loss outputs
• running and analysing FIS Prophet models to support actuarial valuation, reporting and cash-flow interpretation, with a primary focus on liabilities
• in the future, working with FIS Prophet ALS (Asset & Liability Strategy) models, primarily on the liabilities side, while also developing an understanding of asset cash-flow projections
• carrying out reconciliations, consistency checks and validation activities to ensure the robustness, accuracy and transparency of valuation results
• analysing movements between reporting periods and explaining key drivers behind actuarial results in a clear, structured and business-relevant way
• supporting stochastic valuation activities for VFA business and interpreting outputs related to liability valuation
• maintaining and enhancing actuarial documentation to ensure traceability, auditability and compliance with internal governance standards
• contributing to improvements in valuation processes, assumptions and reporting workflows to increase quality, efficiency and future readiness
• collaborating closely with international stakeholders from actuarial, finance, risk, accounting and operations teams across the ERGO Group
• working independently on assigned topics, taking ownership of planning, execution and issue resolution, while sharing knowledge with less experienced colleagues where appropriate

Our requirements

• fluency in English and confidence working in an international business environment
• university degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or another quantitative field
• solid professional experience in actuarial work within life and/or health insurance, ideally in valuation, reporting and cash-flow analysis
• good practical knowledge of at least one of the following reporting and valuation frameworks: IFRS 17, Solvency II or MCEV (Market Consistent Embedded Value)
• hands-on experience with FIS Prophet, especially in model runs, result extraction and analysis of Prophet outputs (liability cash flows)
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and a strong quality orientation
• ability to work independently, organise priorities effectively and deliver accurate results within deadlines
• clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex actuarial topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• collaborative mindset, service orientation and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

Optional

• progress toward or completion of a recognised actuarial qualification
• experience with stochastic valuation and/or VFA-related topics
• experience documenting actuarial methodologies, assumptions and results in line with governance requirements
• experience with other actuarial modelling software, e.g. Moody’s RiskIntegrity / AXIS, Pathwise, Risk Agility Financial Modeller (RAFM)
• German, French or Dutch language skills

About the role

As a Senior Actuarial Consultant in the Actuarial Model Valuation unit, you will play a key role in IFRS 17 valuation and reporting activities for life and health insurance business within the ERGO Group, working closely with international stakeholders. You will analyse results, support financial reporting and improve actuarial processes and controls. The role combines technical actuarial work, cross-functional cooperation and visible business impact in an international work environment.

This position is ideal for an experienced actuary or actuarial professional who enjoys ownership, values quality, and wants to be part of a growing ET&S actuarial community in Poland while contributing to the needs of international ERGO entities.
