Your responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global commodity strategy with crossfunctional team;
• Implement the commodity strategy globally across local purchasing entities and consider their requirements;
• Plan and conduct global price and contract negotiations in the role as lead buyer;
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions;
• Strengthening and expanding the supplier relationship;
• Execute supplier awarding process, analyze and evaluate quotations to determine best cost;
• Prepare figures and business-based purchasing reports and analysis.

Our requirements

• Technical education;
• 3 - 5 years experience in a similar position in a manufacturing company, ideally for electrical components;
• Concluded technical / economical studies or vocational training with appropriate further training;
• Capability to discuss technical specification on equal level with R&D and suppliers;
• Ability to work proactively as part of a team at different levels of the organization;
• Experience in project management with cross-functional teams;
• Structured and analytical way of working;
• Goal- and solution-oriented work, balanced degree of assertiveness and persuasiveness;
• Good negotiations skills;
• Very good communication skills and knowledge of English language, ideally fluent in German too;
• Willingness to travel globally to suppliers and other entities.
