Head of Release and Deployment Management

Eurofins seeks a Head of Release and Deployment Management based in Katowice, Poland to oversee safe and scalable delivery of changes across 500+ production instances. The role combines technical ownership of CI/CD tooling, operational leadership of deployment execution, and cross-functional governance to ensure quality, compliance, and business continuity at scale.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage end-to-end deployments across non-production and production environments
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize deployment pipelines, technical configurations, and automation scripts
• Own deployment tooling and coordinate with Automation team to drive continuous improvement
• Coordinate Release schedules, ensure ITIL Change Management compliance, and communicate across technical and business teams
• Identify and implement process improvements, promote DevOps practices, and drive standardization across the IT landscape

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent professional experience
• 8–10 years in Release engineering, deployment management, or DevOps roles
• Hands-on experience executing deployments and troubleshooting production issues
• Leadership experience in large-scale, complex, international IT environments
• Practical knowledge of Azure, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Terraform, and ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Helix)
• Strong technical, process, and people management skills with ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly
