Your responsibilities

• You actively influence the selection of suitable suppliers from a quality perspective.
• For the most challenging newly developed components ("focus parts"), you agree on milestone dates with the nominated suppliers and monitor their adherence until SOP.
• You support and drive the supplier in the timely industrialization of their production.
• Through quality planning, you ensure together with the supplier that the necessary inspection concepts are created and implemented.
• As soon as near-series prototype parts are available from the supplier in the pre-series phase, you drive the optimization of the parts at the supplier until the specifications are met and customer suitability is achieved.
• On-site at the supplier, you delve into the details of exciting and innovative manufacturing processes. You are responsible for deciding whether the manufacturing processes meet MAN requirements and whether the required output quantity is achieved ("process acceptance").
• You decide on the granting of product/series approval for the components ("initial sampling").

Our requirements

• Ideally, you have a degree, preferably in engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, etc.), natural sciences, or a comparable qualification (e.g., master craftsman, technician).
• You enrich our team with several years of professional experience, either in the technical environment of metal components or in collaboration with suppliers or in related areas such as development, production, or procurement.
• You see working with international suppliers as an exciting challenge and enjoy a varied job.
• You like to work independently and want to take on a high level of responsibility.
• You have a confident demeanor and convince with your communication, negotiation, and assertiveness skills to successfully discuss and find viable solutions with production, quality, and site managers of the suppliers in the interest of MAN.
• You are able to communicate confidently and purposefully in English.
• You are characterized by strong self-organization and manage to keep an overview even in a wide range of tasks.
• You bring high flexibility and resilience, are not easily unsettled by ad hoc events, and manage to achieve your goals through prioritization, structured work, and common sense.
