About the project, We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead improvements in our personalization model. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence customer retention and improve menu ranking defaults through experimentation, backtesting, and model optimization.

Your responsibilities, Improve and optimize personalization models to drive better business outcomes., Conduct backtests, experiments, and performance analyses to continuously enhance model effectiveness., Own and improve model performance against key business KPIs, particularly around customer retention and menu ranking defaults., Design, execute, and analyze experiments (including A/B testing) to evaluate model improvements., Collaborate cross-functionally to implement scalable data-driven solutions., Leverage GenAI tools, including experience with, Claude, to support modeling, experimentation, and analytical workflows.

Strong proficiency in Python., Hands-on experience with Databricks, Hands-on experience with PySpark (experience required, though usage is gradually decreasing), Hands-on experience with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn, Experience with Generative AI tools, especially Claude and Claude commands/workflows., Strong analytical mindset with experience designing experiments and improving model performance., Experience working with large-scale datasets and production-oriented data science environments.

Optional, Experience with tree-based models., Exposure to time series modeling/forecasting., Experience working on recommendation systems, personalization, or customer-focused optimization problems.
