Electrical Design Engineer (Revit experience)

Location: Poland Remote.

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor Agreement for Provision of Services (long-term). Industry: Mission-Critical Facilities, Data Centers.

Overview

Ehvert Mission Critical, a unit within Salas O’Brien, seeks an experienced independent contractor to support the design and coordination of data center projects across the U.S. The role involves modeling, designing power distribution, security, life systems, standby generators, and UPS systems; performing calculations, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring design accuracy using advanced BIM and electrical engineering tools. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of project requirements related to scope, cost, and schedule.
• Determine and expedite engineering deliverables for projects.
• Maintain and update project scope of work documentation and revisions during design evolution.
• Design electrical systems: power distribution, UPS, standby generators, security and life systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations, schematic designs, and detailed designs.
• Produce technical documentation required for project execution, including design criteria, calculations, process flow sheets, and specifications/data sheets for equipment.
• Review shop drawings.
• Produce models and drawings in BIM and CAD software.
• Use BIM tools to virtually construct electrical systems and coordinate with other disciplines using Autodesk Revit.

Qualifications & Experience

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
• Proven expertise as an electrical engineer.
• Written and spoken English, B1 and higher.
• Experience in electrical design for industrial, residential, and commercial sectors (medium and low voltage distribution, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection).
• Experience with various electrical modeling software.
• Hands‑on experience with Revit Autodesk, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM Power tools, Dialux.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects.
• Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize while meeting deadlines.
