Information Security Advisor

The Information Security Advisor – AI Governance is responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies is secure, compliant, ethical, and aligned with regulatory and risk management requirements.

This role bridges information security, privacy, risk, and legal teams to define, implement, and oversee AI governance frameworks that protect the organisation from emerging AI‑related threats while enabling innovation at scale.

AI introduces new and non‑traditional security risks that cannot be addressed by legacy controls alone. This role ensures the organisation can safely harness AI’s benefits while maintaining trust, compliance, and resilience.

This role will form part of a team being set up in Krakow Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain AI governance policies, standards, and control frameworks covering:
    • AI model lifecycle security
    • Data integrity and poisoning prevention
    • Model access control and provenance
    • Secure development and deployment practices
  • Assess and manage AI‑specific security risks, including:
    • Model inversion and extraction
    • Prompt injection and data leakage
    • Bias exploitation
    • Adversarial AI attacks
  • Ensure AI systems comply with applicable regulations and standards, such as:
    • EU AI Act
    • GDPR and data protection requirements
    • ISO/IEC 27001, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, SOC 2
  • Support AI‑related risk assessments, DPIAs, and model risk reviews.
  • Provide assurance evidence for internal audits, regulators, and third‑party assessments.
  • Act as a security advisor for new AI initiatives and platforms.
  • Review AI architectures, data pipelines, and integrations to ensure:
    • Secure model hosting
    • Least‑privilege access
    • Proper logging, monitoring, and traceability
  • Partner with data science and engineering teams to embed security‑by‑design.
  • Define security logging, monitoring, and alerting requirements for AI systems.
  • Support integration of AI platforms into SIEM/SOAR processes.
  • Help design incident response playbooks for AI misuse, model compromise, and data leakage via AI tools.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to product owners, data scientists, legal and compliance teams, and senior leadership.
  • Develop guidance and awareness material on responsible AI use, secure use of generative AI tools, and third‑party AI risk.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in information security, cyber risk, or governance.
  • Practical experience with security risk assessments, architecture reviews, and secure SDLC.
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts (training, inference, datasets, models), cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP), and data protection and privacy principles.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional technical and non‑technical teams.
